The objectives for this course will be to give the student a broader and deeper understanding of American history from the end of the Civil War in 1865 to the present day. Even more importantly, this course will offer historical perspectives into the formation of todays society as we discuss how political, social, economic, cultural, and technological changes have impacted both the past and the present.
