An intermediate course that will explore population biology, species interactions, trophic structure, community organization, succession, island biogeography and biological diversity at a more advanced level than BIOL 343. The laboratory portion of the course will focus on the use of quantitative methods and manipulative experimental designs to verify fundamental principles and test new hypotheses. 2 hrs. lec., 3 hrs. lab. Offered in fall or spring.
