This core course covers all the required safety instructions for all the 1500 category welding processes and the related shop equipment used. Instruction on welding equipment set-up and parameter settings along with welding theory will be covered for all welding processes. Students will be able to identify and demonstrate proper safety practices and usage on shop and welding equipment. (Prerequisite(s): Must complete 1st semester courses WLDG 1402-1450.)
