In this course, students will explore ways to navigate cultural differences they may experience as international students or newcomers to the United States. They will look at values such as independence and diversity and explore how these values influence behaviors in school, career, and personal relationships. Students will engage in cross-cultural dialogue through field trips, guest speakers, and multi-media sources. They will use their observations to compare and contrast their own values with American values so they can navigate U.S. culture while highlighting their own cultural background and perspectives.
