This course introduces the basic sciences and concepts required for the study of Respiratory Care. This includes fundamentals of chemistry, cardiopulmonary anatomy, physiology, mathematics, physics, and an introduction to the equipment used in basic respiratory care. An introduction to the sim lab and patient's medical record will be provided. Must earn a grade of "C" or better in this course to proceed. (Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the program major.
