This is an introductory course to comprehending the National Electrical Code and the mathematical skills that are required to perform electrical circuit calculations required in the electrical industry. Students will study the history of the code, the code making process, how changes are adopted into the code and the NEC basic structural components. Technical areas include definitions of technical terms and concepts, applied arithmetic calculations, algebraic functions, trigonometry functions and graphing as they apply to circuit analysis and code requirements.
