Beginning Arabic introduces students to the classic, contemporary Arabic language, including the written alphabet and sound system. In this course you will develop basic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills necessary to communicate about self, family and daily life. You will also explore cultural aspects of the Arabic-speaking world, as well as various dialectical variations in the Arabic-speaking world.
