This course explores literature written in English by women. Students will analyze course readings with a special focus on the distinct concerns, perspectives, and challenges of women writers. In addition, students will examine the social and cultural contexts in which the texts were written, developing an understanding that literature can reflect, critique, and even shape its cultural moment.
