This is a course in substantive law, including the elements of major crimes and their possible legal defenses and is a Peace Officer Standards and Training requirement for the Law Enforcement degree. This course is intended for a student pursuing law enforcement who needs to know more about topics related to criminal and traffic codes in Minnesota within their role and responsibilities as a patrol officer. Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) objectives are included in each learner outcome (P.O). Prerequisites: SOCI 1107.
