This course provides basic information about the fundamentals of ruminant and non ruminant nutrition. Students will examine the essential nutritional requirements of livestock, classifications, identification and evaluation of feed grains/forages, bushel weights, nutritional characteristics of feedstuffs, comparative study of digestive system of farm animals, ration formulation, and feed processing methods. Prerequisite: AGRG1110.
