This course focuses on occupational therapy evaluation, treatment, and implementation from birth to young adult. Normal development and interruption of physical function with this age group will be explored. This population will be evaluated, occupation based evidence based practice will be identified and implemented. Roles of occupational therapy assistants (OTA) and the role of the Occupational Therapist (OT) in the Occupational Therapy process are explored. Emphasis is placed on independent and active learning with focus on developing skills for lifelong learning. This course provides an opportunity to work collaboratively inter-professionally and intra-professionally and to develop and enhance professionalism as a health professional. Students will be required to complete one level 1 fieldwork experience in a Physical Health setting with corresponding age group. Prerequisites: OTAC1130
