As the second part of the Accelerated Modern Chinese course series, this course is designed for heritage speakers of Chinese or those who have completed CHIN 1710 at Saint Paul College. The purpose of this course is to help students improve their ability in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Chinese. It particularly aims to help students develop more sophisticated vocabulary and enhance reading and writing ability in Chinese. As with CHIN 1710, the course consists of five hours per week of instruction and in-class discussion, homework, tape assignments and online practice.
