This course presents cells, tissue and organs as they relate to the histology and physiology of the skin, hair and nails and how they work together to form body systems. Major body systems will be explained, along with their impact on the skin, hair and nails. Students will study skin, hair and nail diseases and disorders in order to differentiate between treatable disorders and those that require referral to a physician.
