Description:
Students will have direct patient contact and provide basic patient care procedures as directed by the clinic instructor. Emphasis is on data collection, low and high flow oxygen, aerosol and humidification devices. Students will provide physical assessment along with small volume nebulizer therapy. Students will record pertinent information in patients. In conjunction with clinical, a hybrid element includes case discussions to enhance learning development. Each clinical training during hospital rotations will be supported through specific hospital based policies in conjunction with American Association Clinical Practice Guidelines. Computerized chart. Must earn a grade of "C" or better in this course to proceed. (Prerequisite(s): RESP 1411 and RESP 1412) 3C/0/0/3
