This course will continue to provide students with classroom and laboratory experience to empower them to enter the computer networking field. The focus of this course is on the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a larger and more complex networks, WAN Technologies, and intent based networking concepts. The student will learn how to configure routers and switches for advanced functionality. Instruction includes how to configure and troubleshoot common issues with Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Network Address Translation (NAT), Internet Service Provider (ISP) connectivity, and Virtual Private Networks (VPN). Students will also investigate Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and Network Virtualization and Automation. Prerequisites: CPTR1147
