Safety, cutting speeds, types of lathes, lathe accessories, lathe operation, and measuring instruments are covered in this course. Lathe operations covered include facing, turning, center drilling, reaming, boring, tapering, knurling, and thread chasing. Technical competence in the use of measuring instruments is also stressed. (Prerequisite: AMT 151, AMT 152)
