This course is designed to provide students an overview of the major components of both facility and event management: planning, financing, marketing, implementation, and evaluation. The course focuses on a broad range of facilities and events to demonstrate the diversity of the industry, touching on various topics relating to recreation, leisure, health, and fitness. The objective of the course is to provide a working knowledge of how to manage sport facilities and how to plan, manage, implement, and evaluate sport events. Prerequisite(s): BUS 250
