This course focuses on theory and standards important to the practice of massage therapy. Students will understand the impact of ethical decision-making on the profession and legal issues that can arise from unprofessional behavior, including written and verbal communication, social media behavior, and client-relationships. In addition, the course will introduce students to the important aspects of marketing to increase client acquisition and retention. The course will provide students with knowledge of business concepts and applications, including types of business entities, tax responsibilities, and financial decision-making.
