This course provides an introduction and study of each chapter of the American Medical Association (AMA) Current Procedural Terminology Codes (CPT). Students learn the importance of accuracy in CPT coding. Direct learning occurs as students code medical cases throughout the semester. Current regulations and established AMA guidelines in code assignments are taught in this course. Students learn to use HCPCS Level II codes and modifiers. The class provides a solid foundation in CPT procedural coding
