This course concentrates on identification of the skeletal structure, joints and landmarks of the hand, wrist, and forearm. It also covers the identification of various types of upper-extremity orthoses and the interpretation of upper-extremity orthometry forms. Students fabricate thermoplastic hand and wrist-hand orthoses to specific prescription from measurements to models of the upper extremities. Prerequisite(s): Instructor consent
