Introduces fundamental counseling skills and techniques relevant to sport and performance psychology. Students will develop skills in presenting sport psychology intervention material. Included are tools for building rapport, empathy, listening and life-development skills, treatment versus consulting, ethics, closure, and termination. Students will become aware of the boundaries of the sport and performance psychology consultant and how to refer for clinical issues.
