Provides senior year students with leadership experiences emphasizing on development of a practitioner who can assume an independent role in providing anesthesia care. Student clinical assignments are focused on surgical specialty services to focus on those aspects of anesthesia nursing care to that specialty. Clinical conferences will focus on specialty case reviews, mortality and morbidity reviews, and case presentations. A journal club will be a component part of clinical conference related to surgical specialty topics.
