Description:
Focuses on the development of advanced population health knowledge and collaborative practice skills to integrate theoretical and practice frameworks, when designing and implementing health promotion and prevention programs. Application of epidemiology, community assessment, critical thinking, communication skills, evidence-based population interventions to plan, implement, and evaluate preventative health programs are performed. Students function independently and collaboratively with other public health professionals and clients in diverse settings to develop innovative programs designed to meet health needs of populations and aggregates. A clinical practicum of 180 hours is required.
