Investigates approaches to animation as it applies to graphic design. Students develop concepts, create projects using current software applications, exercise professional practices, and employ principles of design relating to motion graphics. Emphasis is on principles of motion and timing, compositing, sound integration, effects and editing. Projects may include but are not limited to kinetic typography, logo animation, rotoscoping, sound synchronization and motion design for broadcast. Studio sessions include lectures, presentations, tutorials, group exercises, and demonstrations.
