Assignments develop a working knowledge and understanding of the integration of form, typography, communication, and copyright standards, using the tools, techniques, and vocabulary inherent within the field. Observational skills and the ability to critically discuss, analyze, and articulate formal design aesthetics within a conceptual and historical framework are emphasized, along with creative problem-solving, communication strategies, experimentation, and personal expression.
