Examines how interactions between colonial, economic, historical, and political factors influence the global spread of anglophone literature and culture. Introduces students to data sets and qualitative sources to enhance understanding and research. Course texts invite students to explore diverse perspectives and interrelationships, especially differences in class, race, gender, and sexuality.
