Develops effective and relevant strategies for planning, teaching, and assessing the six facets of language arts in Grade PK-4 classrooms. Emphasis is placed on listening, speaking, and writing skills for a literacy rich curriculum to support diverse and English Language Learners (ELL). This course meets standards for the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC).
