Provides an introduction to observing, documenting, and assessing young children, aged birth-five years, using formal and informal assessment tools across all areas of development. This course requires 20 hours of observation in a preschool/preprimary setting. The content of this course relates to standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC).
