The nature and responsibilities of law enforcement are discussed and evaluated, including police accountability, discretion, ethics, civil liability, selection process, stress, political implications and multicultural issues. Critical thinking and ethical decision making in law enforcement situations are developed through case analysis, exercises and simulations.
