An introductory course for students who are interested in the computer field and programs of study in IST. This course explores foundational concepts related to computer math skills, computer hardware and software, networking, databases, computer programming, information systems, and data security. This course introduces students to real-world tasks associated with various IT fields. Students will gain a broad understanding of career and educational options that will help define a program of study choice. Students will take the TestOut IT Fundamentals Pro certification in this course. Students will be prepared to take the CompTIA IT Fundamentals (FC0-U61) certification.
