Drones (UAV / UAS) have revolutionized data collection for natural resources (rivers, forestry, wildlife, wetlands, agriculture, etc.) and are used to evaluate restoration success. Students learn mission planning and drone-based data collection, processing, and analysis for natural resources applications. Additional coursework is required for those enrolled in the graduate-level course. Prerequisite Recommendation(s): A GIS or remote sensing course.
