Topics may include defining and recognizing propaganda, persuasion in strategic communication campaigns, propaganda as a tool of warfare and terrorism, contemporary disinformation, and the role of popular culture in propaganda. Students learn to recognize disinformation in democratic and authoritarian societies and to resist manipulative media content. Offered as needed
