Covers the automotive order-to-delivery process, beginning at the system level with an overview of supply chain and factory organization, and continuing with coverage of critical manufacturing technologies and support systems. The course relates system requirements to major materials and design architectures, with special emphasis on the evolution of vehicle designs in recent years and how they have driven changes in automotive manufacturing strategy. Key performance indicators are reviewed, including details of modeling cost for manufacturing operations. Preq: AUE 2020 with a grade of C or higher and ECE 2070 and MATH 1080. Coreq: AUE 3111.
