Knowledge of investigative procedures and practices is central to the role of a law enforcement officer. This course focuses on reporting and investigative techniques as well as the processes and procedures required in crime scene investigations. Special attention is paid to accurate documentation and evidence handling and preservation. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1024 with a grade or 'C' or higher. CJS 1024, CJS 2081, CJS 2085, SOC 1033, SOC 1080, and SOC 2051 with grades of 'C' or higher
