This course introduces the roles within the orthotic and prosthetic profession and the safety practices and habits required by the profession. Topics include the tools, equipment, materials, and components commonly used in orthotic and prosthetic fabrication. Lab work concentrates on basic skills necessary to fabricate and finish a properly functioning device. Prerequisite(s): Instructor consent.
