This course will focus on knowledge and skills needed to facilitate family/ school/community partnerships to enhance academic and social and behavioral outcomes for children and adolescents, including unique needs of special needs populations. Topics will include family structures, families in diverse communities, community resources, school/family partnerships, and family-oriented intervention strategies. Focus on families of preK-12 children with special needs and families in under-served communities.
