CYB 240 - Virtualization/Cloud Comp This course is designed to help students understand why the IT field is moving from proprietary hardware-based infrastructure to software-defined data centers and cloud computing. The driving force behind this shift is virtualization. This class combines theories and concepts with practical hands-on activities and projects that allow students to apply what is learned to real world scenarios. The student will learn how to apply virtualization technology to create high availability virtual data centers, use management software to administer multiple hosts systems, implement virtual desktop environments, and leverage cloud computers to extend data centers and provide disaster recovery services. 4 credits Pre-requisite CYB 210
