This course is a study of concepts in noninvasive vascular ultrasound imaging and physiological testing of the cerebrovascular and lower extremity arterial and venous systems. Anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, scanning techniques, differential diagnoses, and correlative imaging necessary for the clinical practice of vascular sonography will be emphasized. Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: RIU 320, RIU 321. Corequisite: RIE 433.
