Themes include patronage, materials, reception, cultures in contact, and plurality of meaning, as well as colonial and postcolonial circumstances. Also explores the work of contemporary artists in relation to transnational contexts. Fulfills Cultures - Global Perspectives. Part of the Globalization Issue.
