Topics include classes of organic compounds, nomenclature, transformations and reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, and spectroscopy. This course emphasizes the importance and application of functional group organic chemistry in living systems. (4-0-3) Offered every semester. Prerequisite: CHM 116.
