This course examines the process of school counseling. It includes basic principles related to assessing, interviewing, assisting, and referring students. Emphasis is placed on school counseling curriculum in affecting the positive mental health of students. At least 25 practicum hours are incorporated through counseling skills recordings and reflections. Offered at least once a year. Prerequisite: EDC 651.
