This course examines the heterogeneous communities and experiences of Asian Americans. Students explore Asian American citizenship, belonging, and community formation. This course investigates how racialized and/or sexualized representations of Asian Americans in popular culture shape their engagement with the broader American culture. Part of the Identity Issue.
