(200 Clinical Hours) This is the third of three clinical internships that focuses the NP student on primary assessment and diagnostic skills needed to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions in adults or children exhibiting signs of mental illness. This third internship continues to focus on the management of individuals with common, complex and severe mental illness as appropriate to the APN role and the clinical setting. The focus is on education as an intervention to improve outcomes. This practicum will require hours in group and individual therapy and applies learning outcomes as identified in the clinical management series in an adult, child or lifespan clinical setting.
