PRIOR TO FALL 2016, THIS COURSE WAS OFFERED AS LES 416 This course surveys the major federal statues related to environmental quality and analyzes various approaches to regulation. Primary focuses are on the interaction of law and policy and the roles of Congress, the regulatory agencies, and the courts in defining and implementing environmental mandates. In addition, toxic torts and environmental litigation will be discussed.
