This course is designed to provide a foundation for a vocabulary of medical terminology to facilitate learning in the health science curricula and appropriate communication - both oral and written, within the healthcare community. Emphasis is on the definitions, pronunciation, and proper usage of the basic elements of medical terms. Common medical abbreviations will also be included and interpreted.
