Logic is the study of arguments. In this class, students will learn how to construct good arguments and how to criticize bad arguments. Students in this class will also learn the formal languages of propositional and predicate logic, which not only comprise the formal structure of philosophy, but have applications in other fields such as mathematics, computer science and linguistics.
