Description:
-
This course offers a theological basis for health care and health care ethics. It speaks to theological anthropology and introduces the student to a primarily Christian (Catholic and Protestant) approach to the meaning of human life as that applies specifically to health care. The course will also cover a brief history of the relationship between religion and medicine and makes claims about how theology ought and ought not to be applied to health care ethics. In addition to Christian biomedical ethics the course will also explore both Jewish and Muslim health care ethics
