Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into Physician Assistant Program and successful completion of the didactic phase.. Provides the physician assistant student with clinical experience in a specific area of interest approved by the faculty from a variety of surgical, family medicine, or internal medicine specialties or subspecialties. Enables students to learn to recognize conditions treated by these specialties, so they can refer patients appropriately and/or work in a supportive role for such specialists. This is a five-week supervised clinical practical experience (SCPE). May be graded credit/no credit.
