Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into Physician Assistant Program and successful completion of the didactic phase.. Provides the physician assistant student with clinical experience in managing common gynecologic disorders. Includes obstetrical experience with routine prenatal and postpartum care, and may include labor and delivery. Comprises women's health care in an inpatient / outpatient setting across the lifespan (adolescent, adult, and elderly) including preventive medicine and acute and chronic illness. This is a five-week supervised clinical practical experience (SCPE). May be graded credit/no credit.
