Actuarial Mathematics P is intended for, but not limited to actuarial science majors. The course covers the basic principles of insurance and risk management and introduces students to the actuarial profession. Students learn most of the content of Society of Actuaries (SOA) Exam P in Probability course. This course, in particular, has a problem-solving approach, where probability theory is applied to solve problems related to quantitative assessment of risk and prepare students for SOA Exam P.
